    Molly's Debut!

Molly is very very cute and I love the pic of her standing up next to the Pampers box. ^^ Great name choice too. ;)

    Are chin spins quiet?

The two Chin Spins that I have mounted to solid wooden cages are super quiet. The two that I have mounted to metal cages do make a bit more noise but nothing significant. My chin room is downstairs, far away from my upstairs bedroom so I don't hear a thing when I shut the chin room door. In your...

    Treats

How big are the pieces of mango and papaya and how often is "every now and then"? Just looking for some new treat ideas b/c they've been getting rolled oats for years now. Then again, I was under the impression that fruit, fresh or dried shouldn't be given?

    Treats

A lot of people give their chins Shredded Wheat. Are you guys referring to the little squares they can hold in their front paws? If so, I bought some of those a while back to give the boys a change from rolled oats and three out of the seven boys had really mushy poo so that was it for the...

    Treats

All seven of my boys get a tiny pinch of organic rolled oats every night and they love them. I know it's not necessary to give chins treats every day but my boys are accustomed to having their oat fix each night whether they are out for playtime or not. They just seem to settle down for the...

    Sick tummy

I'd definitely cut out the raisins entirely and instead give a small pinch of organic rolled oats (not the quick cooking ones) for a treat and go from there. I've had some chins with mushy poo before but that was mainly when I first got them and was switching from a poor quality pellet to a much...

    Chin-chin bite my foot!!!

Lots of nibbles here too: feet, hands, finger/toenails, eyebrows, lip and Zeke chomped on my head the the other night, good thing I have lots of hair. I've had a couple of real bites from my used-to-be-bad-boy Buster when I first rescued him and he drew blood; that did hurt. He is a total love...

What's at the bottom of your cage??

Pine shavings, 4 Chin Spins and 1 Saucer. 5 cages. 7 chinchillas.

    New Supply holder.

Awesome find! :)) I wish I had room in my chin room for something like that but it is just too crowded with huge cages, so my storage is in the closet with plastic containers.

    The Ferret Nation Club

Very nice setup Tina and the liners are so pretty. I don't use fleece liners, I use shavings but I do have some colourful fleece hammocks, a tube, pillows and some small blankets I put in the hidey houses for the boys to sleep on.

Can chins remember bad experiances and people that were involved?

I do believe chins can somehow remember bad experiences. My one boy Pip started nipping at my son's heels about six years ago and my son swears he didn't do anything to harm him but Pip does not like him. Four years later, if my son happens to enter the chin room when Pip is out, he will nip at...

Brothers fighting but now back together

I tend to err on the side of caution and would keep them separated at this point. I had to separate a quad once into pairs and a while back I took in a pair of males who had been together for two years without issue but once they came to live with me and housed in the chin room with my other...

Dr. Fosters and Smith magazine cover

Now that's a magazine cover I'd save. It actually looks a lot like my boy Buster who has a smallish head and large body, lol.

    How to chin-proof a bathroom?

Strategically placed cardboard is your best friend. I have seven dwarfs and some do not like each other, so at playtime, it's all about placing big pieces of cardboard around cages to keep unwanted contact between fur balls. Should work well for you with one chin in a bathroom I'd think.
