    Timothy vs orchard grass?

I had bought a bale of orchard when I couldn't find any timothy and it was the absolute worst thing I ever bought for my chins. I'm sure that it was a bad bale, and likely not representative of all bales of orchard grass, but this thing was terrible. The amount of dust that was in it was...

    cage advice

Watch Craigslist and eventually a ferret nation or critter nation will be listed that already is missing the plastic shelves and trays. Ive always paid a hundred or less for doubles. Bought two cages like that for $50 or less each and found one for free.

    quality cage metal shelf

Haven't tried them, but having wooden shelves just gives them more chewing options. That alone seems like a worthwhile trade off to me.

    Introduction help.... and more

The best method for introduction in my opinion is the smoosh method. Clip their whiskers down as short as you can with a pair of scissors. About 1/2 an inch usually does the trick, then put them both into a super small carrier so there is not room for them to move much. Then go for a car ride...

    Fleece vs bedding?

I used to use fleece and was fairly happy with it, but I switched to shavings and will not be switching back. Fleece does look nice but it needs to be washed a couple times a week usually, its more difficult to clean too. I would take mine out to the trash, shake it out then still have to...

    Critter Nation vs Ferret Nation

Critter nation 161, 162, 163 are compatible with Ferret nation 181, 182, 183. However, they are not compatible with the older models 141, 142, 143. The older model FN is held together by bolts and is much sturdier in my opinion. If you are not pressed for time, I suggest looking on craigslist...

wood prep with a food dehydrator?

I haven't used a food dehydrator for sticks, but in my experience (which is minimal) they take just about forever to dehydrate things. I had a friend who was trying to make some raisins out of grapes as a test run, and it took days. I think that you'd get a better result by placing a lot of...

    UGH Bed Bugs!

No. Do not let him out in a room with bed bugs. If you have a ferret nation or similar cage you could smear vasoline along the upright supports below the bottom cage to help prevent the bed bugs from climbing the cage and getting inside. Keep the cage away from the wall or other surfaces.

    UGH Bed Bugs!

As a licensed pest control technician, I would advise you to hire a professional immediately. Bed bugs are extremely difficult to control. Your best bet is to hire a company to perform a heat treatment. They'll have to heat the house to above 115 degrees at the very least for a period of time...

    Mosquito fogger sticks

Any idea what pesticides were being used? Without knowing what was used I could only make an educated guess.

    Questions about toys!

You can also collect up all the tossed out sticks that have already been stripped and give them back to them later and they will attack them all over again as if they were new. If you have multiple chins this works even better, it's like one chins trash is another chins treasure. Eventually...

    Air filters

I'm sure I'm not the only one of us to have experienced a problem like this, so maybe someone knows a good solution. We've lived in our current home since the house was built and ever since we've had an issue with our AC. Our filters kept getting messed up and would never stay in place due to...

    Organic Apple Chew Sticks

PM Sent. Thanks everyone for all the responses. I am now out of wood and will most likely not have any more boxes available until next spring, unless I find I've held back too much for myself anyhow. :thankyou:

Have enough wood on hand to get another large $65 box prepared. Who wants it?
