Urgent need advise, not eating at vet being syringe fed

I am happy to say she seems to be recovering nicely. She is pooping more regularly almost normal size and consistency, she has her energy back with no signs of the bloat discomfort, and most importantly she is now eating hay daily on her own. I switched her to Timothy hay, (previously I fed...

Thanks for the response, I have been also includeing belly messages and although she is lathargic I do take her around the apartment so she has to run back to her room each time there is a feeding to keep her moving. The 1ml syringe is a good idea Her stool today is runny, I have never seen...

Urgent need advise, not eating at vet being syringe fed

My chinchilla developed an eye infection. She is 17 and developed a chronic eye infection about 14-15 about every 6 months. She was treated with eye drops and it would clear up after treatment. She has been seen by 3 vets over this span and had x-rays all instances of tooth problems have been...

    Eye closed shut

The veterinary was able to rinse out the eye which opened it back up. I think maybe something was stuck in her eye now I am giving her eye drops and some anti-biotics and it looks like it is clearing up like normal.

    Eye closed shut

This is a new symptom and I have an appointment to go to the vet at 5pm EST today. It was their soonest. She has developed a chronic weepy eye infection over the last 3 or 4 years. About every 6 months she develops an eye infection. The vet exrayed for malclusion and decided that was not the...

    Stuffed animal chin friends

Hello I got these many years ago I have a solitary chinchilla and I thought she might use them for snuggles when I am working. Turns out she just flat out ignores them. Would anyone like them, if you could just reimburse me for shipping I could send them to you.

    Your go to shop

The biggest thing I am concerned with about pet stores and please keep this in mind anywhere is just because it has a picture of a chinchilla on it does not mean it is chinchilla safe. For example they market those dandelion yogurt drops as treats that are full of soy bean oil and corn syrup.

Would my chinchilla like a companion?

I have wrestled with this for a long long time. My Girl is 16 and I just could never get past the possibility of her getting stressed, bullied, or hurt by another chinchilla. I just try to shower her with attention and activities and make sure she has a great space to be in.

    Moving With Chinchilla Question

Haha I wouldn't say mine experiences anxiety but she is definitely alert. Although I have moved so often I think she is used to it.

    Would anyone like these oats

I don't think shipping will be that much I would just be happy if some Chinnies got some munchies. If you PM me your address I can send them over.
