I have two hero beige makes. They are brothers. If we can see both it is easy to distinguish because one is a bit bigger then the other. Personality is also a huge help. One of ours is quite lazy and the other one could run on the flying saucer for hoursn

Just make sure the saucer is secured to the cage correctly. Most noise will come from it bouncing off the cage.

I have a two story critter nation and it is plenty big for two chins. Enough room so they can be away from each other at times but they are mostly attached at the hip anyway.
I have bass pans because they chewed the plastic ones. I did not spray or paint them because I still use fleece on top...
If you have a wood shelf you could mount it right under the opening the joins the top and bottom half. Don't leave enough room for a chin slip through it. It is a temporary fix ofcourse but it buys you time to find a permanent solution.

Thank you for the advice we found that the vinegar solution did the job fantastically. We did have to deal with two very grumpy China though as they did not really like being in the pet carrier. Lol

I have had two chinchillas for a month now and tomorrow am planning to sanitize the cage for the first time. (Each week the cage got a minor cleaning as well as switching fleece and cleaning pans with wet paper towels). Are there any tips you guys can give like best cleaning solution, problem...
We have had 2 Chins for two weeks and while doing our second ever complete clean / fleece swap we saw some liquid in the pan that had a red tinge to it. It was on the same level as there "pee corner" but was in a separate corner. Picture is attached, have you seen anything like this before. Both...
Thank you for the response. The playpen is of the border type. We have the critter nation inside of the playpen as an extra layer of protection incase they get out of the cage or jump off us when holding them. We were hoping that sitting quietly in the pen during their play time would help with...
Hi everyone. I have had two chinchillas for about a week now, they are 4 months old. Recently I have been letting them out of there pen for some play time, the pen is in a toddler playpen which gives them a fairly large area to roam with some of their toys. However it seems that the first place...
Thank you guys!
They have both done well over night and are now napping. I am very happy to say that honeycomb has really come out of his shell.
They will sniff our hands and climb over them but still have not allowed us to pick them up. I know it will take a while to earn their trust, any...
Hello everyone!
My girlfriend and I are chin owners as of 2 hours ago.
This is gingerbread. He has been the most active so far.
Honeycomb on the other hand was a little shy at first but is now fully exploring his cage.
They are a pair of brothers that have always been together so they...
