I used food coloring for the ledges. I got the double house when I first got the girls from chincessories.com, but I'm not sure if they're making them right now. They love that house. :)
Thanks Barb, I'll do that. We leave on the 12th and get home on the 20th.
I'm not at all nervous about my father's abilities to pet sit. I grew up with all kinds of animals, but he's new to chins. I don't anticipate there being any problems, I just want to have some piece of mind that he can...
I have just alerted my mom to ask him to come up the night before we leave since we're on an early flight. Hopefully he can do that. I worry most about my boy. He likes to try and escape.
I redid the cages a few weeks ago. I thought they could use some bright summer colors, plus I wanted the divider back in the girls' cage because Bella isn't very graceful and she took a tumble. (She was fine, but I'm far to protective to wait for it to happen again) Next up, new shelves when I...
Hi all... My husband and I are going on a cruise in a couple weeks and my father is coming to pet sit for us. He's never taken care of the chins before, and he's not very computer literate at all so I can't tell him to come here if he has any questions. I worry that while we're out at sea, he...
My little guy has a Silver Surfer and my girls have the Purple version of the same wheel. They're good wheels for the money. The girls' wheel is about a year old now and it's still in perfect condition though they use it everyday. If it ever does break, I'll probably get them a chin spin because...
I have left my chins alone overnight after obsessively filling all hay/food/water and leaving extras just in case. I usually leave extra chew sticks and throw some new toys in the cages to so they don't get bored. When my husband and I are gone for more than one night, we have someone stop over...
I'm looking for someone who sells PVC tubes without the fleece covers. I was offering them through my website, but I've recently developed tendonitis on my hands that's making certain things impossible. One of those things is muscling my way through PVC pipes with a hacksaw. I'm trying to see if...
I've used fleece for over a year now and I have no complaints. I just replaced my first set of liners with new ones, so the cost is relatively low. They're easy to clean too, which I love. Plus they can add a lot of personality to the cage.
I have gotten bird toys before. Sometimes you have to cut off little piece of leather, but if you pick and choose, there's some really fun stuff in the bird toy aisle :)
