I finally got a Ferret Nation!! I've been wanting one for ages, ever since I first adopted Abbey. Her current cage is a really old model Martin cage, which I like okay but the cage doors are tiny and it's a bit rusted on the bottom. The price tag of the FN was what kept me so long from getting...
My girl loves it when I stuff them with hay with a sprinkle of crushed rose hips. She won't have anything to do with the plain cholla afterwards though, so I just reuse the same 2 or 3 that I have. Don't know if this is normal, however.
My chin's pellet bowl is on the top level of her cage, there is only about a 6"x6" square opening where she can get down to the other levels. Sometimes, if I get home really late or I spend the night somewhere and come back the next day, she will push her entire food bowl down that hole and send...
Thanks for sharing your experiences, guys. I guess as long as I take Abbey and the rest of the gang with me, we should be fine. You all have definitely calmed my nerves!
Thanks so much, Jeremiah!! That made me feel a lot better. :D Now I'll know what to ask the technician when they are here. Anything to do with chemicals tends to freak me out, haha.
If you want, I'll let you guys know what goes on when they do treat the place.
Okay, so I've run into an issue. My neighbor (she actually lives in an apartment upstairs from me) has been having really bad problems with cockroaches in her apartment. Luckily, I do not have this issue. She told me today that our landlord is going to exterminate our whole building sometime...
I tired playing some of these for my chin and she seemed really interested! Does anyone know what the "Wehmut" noise means on the sound board link? I heard her making little whimpering sounds, which is why I wanted to look up the sounds in the first place, and when I played that clip she...
I wish my Abbey was a neat freak like your first boy! She's the complete opposite! She carries her toys and sticks around everywhere. Every time I vacuum out her poops and clean her cage, I put all of her toys in a little cat bowl and as soon as I'm done, she gets them all out and tosses them...
His little tail! It looks like he has a sock on it or something. :P Abbey hasn't gone that far back. It's mainly just her left side.
He does look a lot better though! I wonder if having a buddy calmed him down some. I hope that I can have a before and after picture of my Abbey-cakes too. Her...
It's definitely not as noticeable on your Daisy! I wasn't planning on giving Abbey a cagemate anytime soon, but that's a good thing to consider if I ever do.
Good luck with your new babies! Hopefully you'll get lucky and they won't chew, although the thought of two little scruffy chin babies...
