I believe United will ship animals for a flat $250, a friend shipped rabbits from Colorado to Syracuse I believe they had to have health certificates as well.

So Susan, what would you recommend for a new chinchilla that you are trying to bond with? A smaller cage or larger? Or would it depend? What do you find works best with your rescues?

I believe it was 1" poplar. We used a dremel trio for the circle holes, they're rather rough, but I figured the chins wouldn't mind...they'll chew it anyway! It's not as nice as my houses from Christine by far, but it was fun because "I did it" for them. I'm cleaning cages later tonight...
