What is this?

We have had 2 Chins for two weeks and while doing our second ever complete clean / fleece swap we saw some liquid in the pan that had a red tinge to it. It was on the same level as there "pee corner" but was in a separate corner. Picture is attached,have you seen anything like this before. Both chins are acting normal as of today.

Chinchilla pee can be dark orange/reddish. It is normal.

Chin pee. I used to have a boy that aimed his pee at the wall behind his cage....it was a constant battle against the orange.

Agreed. I've used light colored fleece and they can leave dark brown/red marks on it. No need to worry.

My chins pee is pretty much ALWAYS reddish brown because they're constantly chewing on apple wood that I buy from people on these forums They love it!
