Oat hay is really grainy, and most other hays aren't. 1st cut timothy is really course so you could use that. Other hays are mountain grass, botanical, blue grass.

The most important thing for chins to have is grass hay though (timothy, orchard grass, meadow hay, mountain grass, brome).
