Safe Wood

Hello all,

I was wondering is Elm is safe to use for homemade shelving for Chins. I am unable to get ahold of any fruit tree wood in my area, but I have Elm by the acre! I read in some places it is safe, and other places that talk about safe woods for Chins do not mention Elm at all. I have not seen anywhere that is is unsafe however, and I just want to double check before I make the shelves.

In the FAQ section of this site elm is listed as a safe wood. Build away.
