I just want some feed back on processing wood in a dishwasher.

My husband keeps telling me how come you cannot wash wood in a dishwasher.

Here are his thoughts:
1. Run dishwasher 2 to 3 times without soap or anything in there.
2. Slightly scrub the wood before putting it in.
3. It will sterilize and clean the wood.

Anyways I told my husband I was going to put on CnH and see what people say.

I wouldn't do it. Dishwashers get build up...

Not to mention the risk of debris falling and clogging stuff up.

As one who has experienced a wooden spoon falling out of dishwasher basket, landing on heat element and causing smoke/stink enough to wake me up and hubby(he woke up after I was up trying to find soure of smell and the smoke detectors finally went off),I wouldn't try it.That one wooden spoon caused enough burn smell to take days to get out of my house.Much worse than burnt microwave popcorn IMHO and I actually love the smell of a wood fire.

I think it would be really kool if you can get a hold of those restaurant dish washers which I think scalds it
you know the type with the metal box that comes down from the top that runs hot water through it =D?
