Does anyone have a pet insurance plan on their chinchillas? My dog is covered by PetPlan and it has certainly payed off. I'm wondering what people's experiences have been with Chinchilla vet bills, and if pet insurance would be a good idea? (I don't have chins yet, I'm thinking for the future).
I had a guinea that I never thought would cost me a fortune in vet bills, and after a broken front tooth, bumble foot, exploded eye (yep, I'm serious) and a bladder stone, I soon realized my folly. But I've also been told by other cavie owners and breeders how exceptionally unlucky I just got with that one.
Anyway, I appreciate feedback.
