peeing her bed

Had my 4 month old female chinchilla for 3 weeks now. I clean her cage completely once a week and each time i have changed her bed, which is a wooden house with hay in, i find she has peed in it.

Could this be because of her age or a sign of lazyness?

I would guess its because the house is filled with hay. My girls love peeing on their hay as soon as it hits the floor

She may have just picked there are her "pee spot". Most chins tend to pee in the same area.
Maybe you could move the little hidey hut elsewhere, and put a stainless steel pan filled with wood chips on that spot instead. Or you could put a fleece liner inside the hut, instead of using hay for a bedding. She might not like to pee on the fleece.
