So it is getting warm here this week. We live on a mountain at 8200 feet, so it usually isn't too bad at all.

I have two granite tiles and some frozen water bottles in the girls' house. They almost never use them. In fact one still loves curling up in her fleece tube!

Should I not worry? Will they use them when they need to?

The tiles can help, as well as the frozen water bottles, but they are more of a very temperary fix. If you have temps that get above 72, you really need to have an a/c. You should have a thermometer in the same room with your chins. I live in an area that rarely gets too hot, a very moderate area, but on those days that it does get warmer than usual, I feel good knowing I have an a/c unit I can turn on for that day/days and my chin will be safe from heat stroke. It is good to have an a/c unit...just in case.
