Non-toxic glue?

I'm going to be building some ledges and shelves this weekend for the chins and I don't want to use nails, obviously. What type of glue do you all use or should I use to put together my shelves?

elmers wood glue should be non toxic.

Yup, that's what I use. Elmer's wood glue.

I believe it's Elmers School Glue that's non-toxic. I usually drill and drywall screw the pieces together after glueing, to hold them tight, and remove the screws after drying.

I think we used elmers wood glue, and I think it states that it is nontoxic, but I don't remember that to be a fact.
