I know I've told other people chinchillas don't belong in the bedroom but we came down with a bad flu that went in to my lungs causing bronchitis so neither of us got the bookshelves moved to put the cages in the livingroom. We had to stick our new CN in the bedroom for the pregnant females and babies.

5 am today: "thud, bang, rattle"
"scrape,scrape"
"Aika quit eating your cage pan"
*silence*
10mins later
"scrape, scrape"
"Aika!"
*silence*
fall back asleep

7am
"thud, bang, rattle"
"what the...."
"scrape, scrape"
"darn it Aika you are getting a metal cage pan when I wake up later"
*silence*
"thud, bang, rattle"
"You sound like someone dropped a bowling ball in the cage"
"scrape, scrape"
*sigh*
"thud, bang, rattle*
"I'm' weighing your fat butt again later"
*silence*
"scrape, scrape"
*sigh*
fall back to sleep

9am discover the cracked cage pan with the fleece piled up in the corner away from it. Replace everything with the bass pans just delivered. Along with some padding under the new cage pan. Weight pending when my caffeine kicks in. Then I'm working on the book shelves. Gonna suck moving the 7'h solid oak bookcase. I made other people haul it in to the condo.

oh yea, they can make some noise when they want attention, thats for sure. I had to put a sheet of fleece between the metal cage bars and the bass pans as well.
