Actors, Actresses, and performers of music and stage all CHOSE this lifestyle. They wanted fame and fortune hence jumping into the limelight. Just like Jon and flipping Kate, it was a conscious choice on their part. That said I'm sorry you don't have privacy if you want it give up your lifestyle. Become a hair dresser or nurse or bank teller. Don't drive an expensive car, don't have a personal chef and trainer. We all survive without them. I don't have paparrazi following me around.
So it's difficult sometimes to feel sorry for those people asking for privacy. Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes LIED about their affair when they were flat out caught in their affair, well you're in the public eye people if you don't want to get caught don't do stuff that gets you caught!
There are plenty of very big stars who don't have a drug addiction--who have families and go to sleep at night without the use of drugs. Hugh JackMAN, Denzel Washington, Meryl Streep, Julie Roberts, Paul Newman & Joanne Woodward, Tom Hanks--these are all BIG money makers and they aren't flying off kilter.
Alot of stars just can't handle the money--as I'm sure I would be as well. Holy Crap if I had Mel Gibson's money I would have a zillion chinchillas--do I need a zillion? No but the fact I could have them means I would.
Fame is not for everyone but fame and money do tempt everyone I believe--which is why doctor's to the stars have such a difficult time saying no.
Elvis' whole entourage knew he had a problem. They would watch him dig holes into the bottoms of his feet so he could get drugs yet no one said a thing--they didn't want their gravy train cut off.
It's sad when that becomes more important than a human beings life.

:impatient:Ugh... I feel ya! This whole thing is a mess. Meanwhile a fire is running rampant on the west coast, ruining lives... but the only thing the media cares about is Michael. :yuck:

I have sworn off news broadcasts for now. I am tired of hearing about Obamacare, MJ, and frickin Ted Kennedy! So, I am resolved to only get my news online for now, that way I can choose my topics.

HA again this is why I don have cable, I am worried about what my kids will think is important. Movie stars not, fires in California and such Yeah very important. You cant go ten feet in the stores without a 'magazine" or t.vs telling you that you have to buy this, this person had a affair, this person disgraced his family. I am sick of it all, I get my information online before kids wake up and we watch movies for entertainment, Ones that I try to prescreen. Not always sowellI have found out.
FYI Sweeney Todd movie GROSS perfect for pre-teens need for gore.
Coraline movie SCARY not for younger kids to watch I had to hide my eyes .

I believe its murder.

Michael had trouble sleeping. So to help him "sleep" the "doctor" gave him drugs that knocked him out. They were not drugs that were meant to be sleep aids. If the doctor could not properly help Michael with the proper drugs, then he should have recommended a sleep specialist. What the doctor essentially did was euthanize Michael. The doctor was in over his head with it. I certainly lay blame on Michael too. But the doctor is the one with the PhD and has the training to know, what he was doing was not solving the problem. It was a bandaid on a bullet wound. Not to mention the whole 911 call....The doctor was giving CPR while Michael was on the bed. That right there is a red flag that this doctor was a very bad one. Anyone ever trained in CPR knows, you have to move the victim to a hard surface, generally the floor. Who knows, maybe if the doctor did CPR on the floor like he was suppose to, Michael would be alive now.

Heath Ledger and Elvis were not under the 24 hr care of their doctors. They overdosed by their own hands. Not saying it was on purpose for either of them, just saying, their doctors had no control over them after they left. The bottles were always there.

Micheal's doctor on the other hand, injected him, by his own hand. Handed him the pills from his own hand. Make up the the minute recommendations in person at all times. He contributed 100% to Michael's death. Then he tried to hide the evidence after wards. He KNOWS he was in the wrong.

My mom said he's not really dead... he had another surgery and is coming back as a black man... ha, ha, ha.

I just had to toss that in there.

Otherwise, no one really knows what happened, and I'm not saying that people don't adore or "love" these stars, but they don't really know them, they don't hang out with them, or chat with them late at night. At what point does it become an unhealthy obsession?

Frankly, I am sick of the MJ news. With all that is going on in the world, this is still in the news. You think about all the cops, firefighters, and military who die everyday protecting innocent lives and they get one line in the local obituaries. There are people out there who died saving dozens, even hundreds of lives with one act. But celebrities get months of news, their own magazines, books, etc.

Somewhat unrelated, I was pretty disappointed in Michael when it came to his animals. He sent his wolves to a exotic animal sanctuary I worked at. This place had wolves and big cats, as well as some monkeys and other exotics. All were former pets, confiscated by the government, former performers, etc. Michael shipped his wolves to them when his money started going and he could no longer pay for all those animals. But regardless, the man still had millions....did he donate a cent to the sanctuary for taking them? To help pay for their care, at least a few thousand dollars? Not a penny. That disgusted me. I still think his talent was unmatched, but the person he became was not so favorable.

I wish the news reports would go away so his kids could start living again. This constant speculation and gum flapping has got to be so incredibly hard on them. They are already stuck with a weird situation to begin with, and now that the Jackson's saw fit to make sure their faces were on the cover of every magazine and newspaper (I'm sure so the has beens could continue getting THEIR 15 minutes of fame), they are going to be stalked by the paparazzi for the rest of their lives. Any chance they might have had at normal flew out of the window, but at least they could stop hearing that their dad was murdered.

As far as the person he was, I can't speak to the animals, I wasn't there. But at his memorial service I believe it was a Senator who spoke about the millions and millions of dollars he has poured into charities and schools all over the world. He built a huge burn hospital in Texas. He has financed several schools in Africa. He's given money any time anyone has ever asked it of him, in order to help people. I think that speaks just as loudly as to what kind of person he was. He may have slipped up with the wolves, but the thousands of human lives he made it possible to save makes up for that 10 times over.

Oh, I know he donated a lot of money. That's why we were quite insulted he would dump his animals on us and then not give us a dime for their care. Maybe because there was no publicity in it. And it wasn't just us either. The other animals he had, the llamas, giraffes, etc, they were given to sanctuaries and no money was given to them either. These are sanctuaries, lifelong animal shelters for the unwanted. They rely 100% on donations. He knew that when he dumped them.

Yes! Michael is in the Guinness Book of World Records for donating the most money to charities, $300 million, if I remember correctly. Also the number of charities 39. He reached out to countless people to help them. He visited hospitals in Iraq and thanked the soldiers for their sacrifice, he helped find a liver for a small boy that saved his life, he brought the severe burned little boy (can't remember his name now) to Neverland and gave his love. The boy said Michael was the father he never had!

I could go on, he did much more! Michael was such a beautiful person :heart3:, some people just don't know.
