I've had both males and females before though.

I have a bonded male femle pair. The male was neutered.

I have 9 males. The first pair I aquired were boys, and as I am not interested in breeding, a mix of males and females didn't seem appropriate. That said, I'd love a pair of girl chins. :wink2:
