making houses and shelves

i normally make shelves for the chins myself and this time around i thought i would try to make the shelves with the backs to try to keep some poo in.
is the back/sides of the shelves attached with wood glue?

also i thought about making a house and swing and some things likes that as well, do you use glue to put those together as well?

should i just use non-toxic wood glue? and if they get to some and chew/eat it it is perfectly safe right?

any tips for making this stuff would be much appreciated :thumbsup:

what kind of metal is safe for chins? if i want to use chains or metal wire for toys what kind is safe?

yup you can use non toxic wood glue. houses you use the glue. not sure about the swing.
and i have no idea about what metal is safe for them.
hopefully someone else whose more helpful and experienced in making these will chime in

What size boards does everyone use to make their houses?

I use the 8" wide boards. That way the houses end up about 7.5 inches high, which seems like a decent hEight and the chins fit in it easily
