Is Alfalfa Based pellets worse then Timothy based pellets?

Oxbow is a much better pellet than Zupreem.

An alfalfa based pellet is fine, just make sure you feed a grass type hay like Timothy or orchard grass.
 
Good to know. The corn gluten meal in the ZuPreem kind of freaked me out. I do definitely feed then lots of timothy hay. Thanks for your input!
 
Most of the pellets here in the US are alfalfa based and you would have to go out of your way to find something else. (Though they aren't all of equal quality.) Didn't even know that they made corn gluten ones.
