Hi, I'm a soon to be chin mommy from New Zealand
I'm a student vet nurse and have been researching for years about owning chinchillas, but due to previously having pet rats I didn't know if I had enough time for one.
Then last week a little female chin was dropped off (in a cat cage left at the front door) at the clinic I'm working at.
Soooo, now everything's ready at my place for her and she's coming home in two days

Looks like you have a wee fur chewer there! It could be from boredom or stress, so when you get her settled in, it might stop. However some chins never stop chewing once they start (my Rosey is a fur chewer; started when her chin friend got sick), but that doesn't mean they cant have a good happy life!
