Hi,
My hedgehog gave birth on 8/7/12 to 5 babies. She was not a great mom and killed some and abandoned the rest. 4/5 died within the hour.
I had to step in and take the 5th one out so she wouldn't die like the rest.
I have been hand feeding her KMR and she is developing great and all. I have researched how to hand raise a baby so I know a lot already but I need help with something now.
After I feed her it takes her a very long time to poop and when she does it is very very small and a highlighter green color.
Her belly looks a little bloated/swollen.
I have rubbed it down after feeding her and tried the thing with the wet q-top and all but that doesn't seem to help much. I really don't want to lose her. She is like a child to me now. I am very attached already. Her name is Adrina.
Is there any way I can get her to poop? Is there any type of laxative that is safe for hedgehog babies to have?
I really would appreciate any type of help.
