After takeing her to the vet for a respiratory infection she was put on meds for two weeks wich didint seem to work that well, i woke up this morning and went to check on her when i noticed that her left side of her face was swollen and her eye was very red and also swelled, i immeditly called the vet for a appointment. and my worse fears where confermd. she had a Cancerous turmor. my only options were eather to put her on steroids and maybe get another few days with her, or to end her suffering and have her put down, so i did the very hard but right thing and said goodbye to my sweet little angel.. i love her and miss her so much! she was the best pet rat i could ever wished for. but at least i know she is in a better place and that i gave her the best life i could.

That photo of her mid boggle on Christmas morning is wonderful. What was she eating?
 
I am so sorry for your loss but as hard as it was, you did the right thing for Hazel and have put her at peace. You have some wonderful pictures and memories to always keep her close.
 
Hazel has lots of good company where she went.. play hard beautiful girly! :heart5:
 
thanks everyone, she was deffinitly a sweetie pie, and i miss her so much. but she sure did have a good last christmas, she got lots of toys and treats. she was eating a yogurt coverd rat donut. lol she sure did love her food, noodles were her favorite, it will be hard to eat noodles knowing that i dont have to save any for her anymore. :tissue:
 
So sorry to hear about your loss. Hazel was beautiful. May she rest in peace.
