Genetic Question

This may seem like a dumb question and I want an answer so I can determine if my new Chins are possibly siblings. I have no real history on them as they were in 3 homes before me. I suppose it does not really matter if the are or are not but I am curious about it anyway. Is it possible to cross a Black Velvet and Beige to get kits that are black velvet and brown velvet? If not is there any color crossing that will give kits that are black velvet and brown velvet?

Yes, that is possible. A beige/black velvet pairing can produce standard, beige, black velvet, or brown velvet.

Thanks for your reply...I followed you website to the Genetic Color Calculator...very cool. I see that their is actually several combinations that could produce kits that are Black Velvet and Brown Velvet. So my 2 boys may be siblings but of course there really is not way of knowing for sure unless I knew more about their background.
