Hi all!
I recently adopted a 5-year old male hedgie, and we have been taking him out on the lawn when it's hot. (No pesticides, obviously!)
He likes to dig, but I saw him eat grass roots and Douglas Fir pollen cones.
I hope that his instincts don't let him eat anything bad, but does anyone have input regarding this?
I read that wild hedgehogs eat grass roots, so I'm not really worried about that, but he LOVES the cones, to the point that if I'm holding some he chases me around.
FYI he also eats house flies and cooked meat (steak and turkey so far).
Thanks, :hmm:
