critical care for chins

Ok I was able to get some critical care to feed cuddles but how much and how often should I be feeding her? It has been a couple of weeks where she hasn't really eaten much but a little bit of hay because of the Baytril she was on.

I'd say 3 to 4 times a day with a total of rough 100ml throughout the day.

But I've never had to do it, so that might not be correct. That is what I recall off the top of my head.

Maybe someone with more experience will come by and give their opinion.

Thanks I will keep checking. This is the first time I have dealt with a sick chin and I am overly worried!

You might use the search button and dig through the thread about handfeeding or about other sick chins and see what was recommend to be a good amount to feed.

I feed according to how much is needed to maintain weight-some chins need 120ml a day, some need 60ml a day, some won't take more than 15ml at a time, some will eat 30ml at a meal-I start out with 4 15ml-20ml meals and weigh the chin daily, the same time each day, if the chin still loses I add additional meals, if the chin maintains I keep it at that. I use 10ml syringes, fill 2 at a time and I use a 50/50 critical care lifeline mix.
