costina vs lanigera?

I'm assuming that the more common chins are the costinas? What's the size difference between the costinas and lanigeras? The reason I ask is because one of my chins is substantially larger than the others. Thanks

There was some question if the costina even existed, it was thought it was just a poor quality lanigera.

Ah, good link thanks. So the ones most of us have are the lanigeras then? I guess I just have one that had big kid jeans over the others lol

domestic chinchillas are so bred together at this point I wouldn't think we have "types" any more
