How do you clean smooshed in poop off of a wooden ledge?

First of all poop that is squishy is a bad sign, chin poop should be fairy dry and hard so it shouldn't be able to smoosh in to the ledge. Wet poop is a sign of digestive upset and the cause should be looked into. However if they pooped on the ledge in a pee puddle or something and caused the poop to get soft then it's nothing to worry about.
Anyway, back to your question, water and vinegar mix works as cleaner and is safe for use around chins, wet a paper towel or rag with the mix and wipe the ledge off. If the ledge is stained though and washing it doesn't work you can sand the ledge down until you get to clean wood.

I scrape it off then clean with a scratch pad and peroxide. Then, I wipe it off.
