I recently changed from shavings to fleece for the bottom of my chin's cage. I put in a glass baking dish with shavings for his litter pan and put it in the corner he always uses to pee.

He loves the soft texture of the fleece but now won't use the litter pan. He did the first couple of days, but then stopped and now pees on his fleece floor in various spots.

Any ideas on how to encourage him to use the litter pan again?

good luck with that. My one girl decided one day to stop using the pan. Years later and she still wont. No idea why'

Godofgods, weird but thank you for the reply. Guess I'll just have to keep trying to figure it out. I put a heavier pan in and so far he hasn't been able to move it around and I've notice some peed on shavings. So I'm hopeful.

If you haven't already, try giving the cage and fleece a super deep clean and leave some dirty shavings in the litter pan with the clean ones.

1:1 solution of vinegar and water is awesome.
