Hi all. I was just wondering if this is normal. I got my first Chinchilla (Jed) a little under a year ago and sometimes when I let both Jed & BoB out in the morning for a bath etc Jed likes to jump into bed (only when I'm in) and runs in between my legs, he can even fall asleep like this which I think is cute. I'm just wondering if there is any reason why I shouldn't continue this or if it's okay. Thank you in advance.

Reason 1: He can severely overheat!
Reason 2: Poop in your bed - yuck!
Reason 3: You could roll over and squish him!

I'm thinking you're not going to sleep while he is there, just allow him to go to sleep with you there? I think that would be fine as long as you don't cover him up or go to sleep. All of Cuddlebug's reasons are pretty much what I was thinking if you were wanting to go to sleep with your chin in your bed. They are so small and a bit fragile, I would be afraid of smushing him.
