My female chinchilla makes these noises which i can only describe it as sounding likes shes crying or pineing. Anyone know what this is. i can provide a sound clip if necessary.
Thanks

Like a high pitched scream, or a soft peep peep noise?

Chins do the former sometimes when they're frustrated or annoyed, and after attention (my Rosey does it when I'm late for playtime).
The peep peeping is like a constant "contact" noise... it's how the chins stay in contact with each other (or with you if the chin is a singleton!) while roaming around their environment.

Hi, thanks for the reply. yes its kind of like a soft peep peep noise and i figure she wants attention but when i give it she just runs away for the most part.

She's just making sure you know where she is! Gotta keep in contact with the "herd"!!
