Bratty Teenage Phase

Okay so I have read on here that chinchillas go through a "bratty teenage phase" is this true? My chin is 8 months old now and she is a little brat ahah. I don't mind her little attitude much. She just seems more defiant of me lately. But I was wondering how long does this teenage phase go on? What are some things your chinchilla did in her teenage phase?
