Same here I also free feed but I find the perfect amount for my boy is a 1/4 cup scoop into his bowl every morning and night. I just got dollar store measuring spoons and use that. Its enough so he has plenty to snack on but not so much that i feel like Im wasting food if it gets stale.

I agree with smhluvsmh. I have fleece lying in my chins cage and I dont like it..at all. It stinks and everything gets super stuck to it. I do wash it too and it smells nice and is great right after I take it out but gets smelly from chin pee... I dont really have a mess problem with wood...

There would probably also be a chance of them developing a skin condition because of it too. Think of how uncomfortable it can be just shaving yourself (face and or legs) and the irritation that occurs. Animal's skin is very sensitive to sunlight and light as well if they are typically furred...
