Yes that was what I was going to say. I remember that a couple yrs back. cant remember the gals name but bot she was shocked but she stepped up and did awesome with those babies. I dont remember any of them dying tho but maybe...it was a trip to watch them grow... congrat on the litter of...

she is very pretty...i love how dark she is and then the bright white paws...I bet she looses a lot of the darkness tho, thats always been my experience anyhow

i usually seperate my male from my girls right after they give birth not only to prevent a breedback but also give mom a break...the male is usually persistant..i once had a male who was trying to mount the female while she was in very active labor...I do find the males are often great helpers...

also I would add many leaping/sleeping ledges to encourage him to use them but other then that the skys the limit but you will have to be able to clean it all...

They can get hurt by falling but that is true no matter how small or big the cage is..I always say the bigger the better...chins love to be able to run, jump and play so if you can accomidate them with a larger cage then I say go for it

I have never had any problems with colonies. If your females dont get along now I wouldnt have them caged together. I have never had my colonies deliver on the same day but I have had them deliver within days or wks of each other and they all got along just fine. unless you want a breed back you...

They sell different types of hay hanger too. You might want to look for one that attaches to their cage. It may help a little but their still gonna pick through it and half of it is gonna end up on the cage floor. Like others have suggested you can try different types of hay but it is essential...
