    Hedgie is 'off'

Just time I guess. He still isn't running much, and today started pooping and peeing WHILE he eats which has never happened before. I think he is so old that he needs Depends diapers. :-) I love my poor little guy; I'll just keep babying him till the end.

    Hedgie is 'off'

Hi there! Hedgie is much improved - he's energetic, eating and drinking. Still not back to exercising, but he looks like a million bucks!

    Hedgie is 'off'

Update 2: I'm trying to get him a vet appointment. Last time the wait list was 3 weeks! Hedgie now still looks bright but is barely drinking, not exercising, and ate one bite in the last 24 hours.

Hand raising hedgehog help. Not pooping like she should

If she will eat it, plain canned pumpkin cures constipation and diarrhea. Even puréed pumpkin baby food.

Update: hedgie didn't drink or exercise overnight but he drank and ate when I handled him in the living room. Strange...

    Hedgie is 'off'

I have a hedgie that's well over 5 years old, maybe 6 1/2. Lately he hasn't been pooping a lot, but when he does (lately in front of me instead of while running) it seems normal. He isn't using his exercise wheel, which is very unusual. However, when I take him out to play he acts normal and...

    Young Hedgie Humping?

I'm glad I'm not the only one witnessing these events! I've had a hedgie about one year. One day he had an erection, no big deal. Then months later I had him on my lap and he was sucking on it! I was quite alarmed. Then today - about two more weeks - he arched his back funny and fell over...

    Stretching, not eating, puking

well, he seems way better now. I've got him on very basic food just to give him a rest. He didn't puke again, and he's very active so he must be ok.

    Stretching, not eating, puking

Hi there; Prickles hasn't been eating much for the past three days and when I take him out he keeps doing these long superman stretches. Today he ate one bite and then barfed twice. He's a senior, over 5 years old. Drinks water normally. Any ideas? I'm so worried! Thx,

    chirping and peeing

Yeah, this guy is partially litter trained (he tries to use the box) and he usually doesn't go on the floor. No other pets. Thanks for your help!

    chirping and peeing

Our newly adopted 5 year old male was energetically running around the house when he peed and pooed on the floor, which initially wasn't that surprising. However, then he got really excited and was running around chirping, and peed again. Is this territory marking?

    alfalfa hay?

My hedgie also came with a recommendation that he eat alfalfa, but he has a broken tooth, so maybe that is how it happened! He has an alfalfa tunnel and he digs at it and chews it a bit.

    eating off the lawn

Hi all! I recently adopted a 5-year old male hedgie, and we have been taking him out on the lawn when it's hot. (No pesticides, obviously!) He likes to dig, but I saw him eat grass roots and Douglas Fir pollen cones. I hope that his instincts don't let him eat anything bad, but does anyone...
