My chinchilla has been wiping her mouth a lot recently. Whenever she eats, after every bite, she wipes her mouth. She will still eat fine, doesn't act like she's in pain, but it is unusual. She's become a bit of a messy eater. I have had her for about a year and 10 months, she is a bit old, (11 years), and her sister (I believe, she was a rescue) died due to some teeth issues. She did not have the same problem, but I am a bit concerned. Any advice, is this normal?

Any drooling? or just pawing at her mouth? I would get her checked out at the vet just to be sure, it could be something as simple as something stuck in her teeth.

Just pawing at the mouth. And if nothing changes, I am planning on taking her to the vet.
