Making some toys and ledges for my babies of course since they are only 3 months I won't be using the ledges just yet but wanted to start making my own cause they can be a bit pricey.I have ordered some awesome ledges and stuff from Etsy and I can't wait to set their FN cage up .So with that being said I wanted to color some and I heard cool aid(sugar free of course) and food coloring are good for coloring. I wasn't sure if the food coloring I have is best to use or not so any thoughts on that would be awesome and the sugar free cool aid, using to color loofah. If not I will pick something else up next time I'm at the store.
Thank you
Tina

The food coloring is fine, Wilton even makes food color markers if you want to do fine detail. The Crush packets though I'm not sure, you want the unsweetened (the kind you are suppose to add sugar to when making it up as a drink, but obviously don't add the sugar for use for chinchilla stuff) not the sugar free. Sugar free normally has other chemicals in it to replace the sugar, most commonly aspartame or xylitol, neither are safe.

Awesome thank you, wasn't sure about the kool aid, I just thought sugar free was good. But I can just get regular kool aid but just don't add sugar 👍🏼this is why I love this forum.Thank you so much I just want to make sure everything I do for my babies to be safe
