I have a very technical question.
We say that conifer in general are bad for chins because of the *blank* (carbolic acid?) they contain. However, when we talk about PINE, if kiln dry, this *blank* that I can't quite remember the name, completely dries off and the wood is now safe for chins.
Why isn't that the same for spruce or any conifer if it is kiln dry?
