Hi All, wondering if anyone has knowledge about this beyond the basics my vet does. Gizmo began having seizures about a month ago after she had suddenly gone blind. We took her to the vet after the very first one, and the vet said this sometimes happens to Chins and we usually can’t figure out why. He put her on a steroid medication which eased the seizures for a bit, but now they are back daily (they last about 5 seconds). I’ve been in regular communication with the vet but he is reluctant to do anything more
(Testing wise) due to her fragile state. I’ve changed her cage around and added fleece in any area she might hit herself during a seizure and lowered all her climbing things to much lower in case she falls off. She eats critical care daily on her own, continues to eat her hay and apple sticks. She munches in her oxbow pellets are times (not consistent enough to eat on her own). She doesn’t have any unsafe items, no scents near the cage or at all in the house really (candles etc). She is about ten years old at this point. She’s been losing weight as well, but I just can’t imagine that there’s nothing more that can be done to treat seizures in Chins? If you call know that there is, I’ll call a specialist that’s far away and take her right in. I’m hear broken for her, years ago I had a bunny die of a seizure due to a similar response from the vet. Please
Advise, xoxo

Hi Tilly,
I came across your story and would like ask if the doctors said anything on how gizmo gone blind suddenly?
What is the cause? Could it be again overgrown tooth reclining into eye socket area?
Little seizures if possible could you record as sound or upload as a short .mp3 recording
Mine too sneeze and sometime make little seizure noise. But most time while asleep.. We think he is snoring
The 'seizure' mine had is just like rapid chin sneezing and is less then 10 seconds. How long is yours...
