okay so i'm in a bind.
neither home depot or lowe's sells KD pine here.
and i'm not spending the price it is on a select pine that's just too much.
and untreated pine isn't good for chins right?

in my girl fluffy's cage we used whitewood and got lucky
that it wasn't a bad wood.
but i don't want to get that again
because home depot only has 2in thick ones
and lowes doesn't say what the specific wood is, it just says whitewood.
home depot it actually says what the wood is.

so what do i do about shelves?
oh i need this for Boo's cage.

If I remember correctly, Spruce is not safe.

Do you have an 84 Lumber near you? That is where I get my KD Pine boards

no i wish we did. we just ended up getting poplar.

I get all my wood I use for shelves from Home Depot. I get the untreated pine and cut it to the lengths I want.

I was told by the lowes here that their white wood is kd pine.

i'm not sure what the difference is between untreated and kiln dried..

Home depot has poplar, its safe for chins.

I heard untreated pine is bad for them. I would just go with the select pine or poplar

yeah i didn't think it'd be good for them.
we just went with poplar.
but when we visit wisconsin (homestate) we plan on getting kd pine there.
