Hi, all. I have noticed that my Asa has been drinking a lot of water lately, and his pee is orange. I have not changed food, hay, or bedding. Could this be a bladder stone or kidney stone?

We have recently moved overseas, and I don't want to do the "new vet in a strange country where I only speak a little of the language" thing if I don't have to, but definitely WILL if there is a need.

Thank you.

Orange/red pee is normal. Sometimes people mistake it for blood but it's generally just urine.

Drinking more water can sometimes be a sign of an illness such as a UTI or diabetes as well. I would continue to monitor him for any other symptoms and make a vet visit should you notice any.

Thank you so much for your responses. He is otherwise his usual bouncy, naughty self. I may just be expecting something to go wrong.

I will definitely keep an eye on him, and if he has any other symptoms, I will call the vet.

Thanks again!
