Good evening,

My chinchilla ingested fur from my cat and now she isn’t as active anymore. She seems very low energy and isn’t willing to play like usual, I am very concerned so should I take her to the veterinarian?

She could have a hairball causing a blockage. Unlike cats they can't throw up if they get a hairball, so they either have to poop it out or it causes a blockage. I would get to the vet, they can do an x-ray to find out if there is a blockage and give laxatives or do surgery to remove it if needed.

Ok thank you so much!
