I'm looking for a carrier (carry cage or kennl) now.
I'm planning to fly with chins after summer's end and use united airline.
A carry cage from quality cage and ryerson look nice.
But with shipping cost will be more than $100.....
And I don't think a plastic kennel is safe for flight.
May be it's ok to visit a vet or short trip.
Meanwhile I confused where to put "live animal" stickers on a wired carry cage.

So if you air traveled with your chins lately,
What type of carry cage did you use?
I want to know what is good and safe.

Also I have 4 chins so if I use 2 kennels(2 chins in a kennel) the fee of flight will be double, so want to get one has divider.
Any suggestion??

Thank you

I fly with the Ryerson carrier. I have flown on Alaska with no problems with these kennels. Just be sure you know what you need on the airline you fly well before you depart.

I've shipped chinchillas before, and they always traveled in a Ryersons-style carrier, it worked well.

The shipping can be pricey but it's worth the piece of mind while traveling.

Ryerson carriers work very well, especially if you want to transport more than one animal. It definitely saves you money too. A lot of breeders who ship use them as well.

Thank you everyone!
I emailed Ryerson but haven't got reply yet for my question.

It's too small 4 chins for 2 hole carrier (2 chins each room) right?

The divider is removable?
Because If i get a 4 hole one I want to put 2 chins in a room.
In that way they will feel secure and I don't need to put cups for food and water 4 each room.

Alaska airline seems good too.
But I have to lay over and stay over night...:tantrum:

For the Ryerson's carriers, the dividers aren't removable. Usually one animal fits into one hole.

While traveling at end of summer, please make sure the temperature is below 70F. Flying in the evening is a better idea.

Hi
I'm talking about this 4 hole one.
So do you put cups 4 each?

Yes,I have to watch the temperature.
I hope they will enjoy their flight.:dance3:
