Got sprayed...

I recently adopted what i thought were two male chinchillas but unfortunately just got sprayed by one...i thought only females sprayed when upset? Hmmm...

Males can spray, but usually not near the length as a female. Usually they just dribble. I would be double checking their sexes....

Either gender can spray. I have a male who is VERY docile but one day one of my females decided to try to bite him through the cage and he sprayed her... On that note i HATE getting sprayed. One of my new females was being stubborn when i tried to clean her cage. She turned towards me and sprayed my face! EWWWW!

I would double check the sexes also. If males spray it is only a dribble. It is really funny watching a male try to spray
