Chinchilla pink eye?

Today while saying hello to my chin I noticed one of her eyes won’t open all the way. It’s clearly effecting her vision as she seems to stumble and miss ledges on the one side. It looks like a bit of fur is holding her eye shut, but she won’t let anyone touch it. What should I do about this?

Update: It looks like she managed to open her eye all the way after all. Guess I overreacted. Though she has had a bit of fur stuck in her eye for a few days, is it anything to worry about?

I don’t know what it is but she does still seem to have something stuck in her eye, sometimes it seems to be bothering her and other times it doesn’t, is it safe for me to try removing it or should I just leave it alone?

Take her to your vet and get her eye checked asap.

I agree with a vet visit. She may need some antibiotic eye drops.

I got her to sit still in my hand during playtime and she let me examine her eye more closely, I pulled a bit of gunk out of her fur that was holding her eye shut and she seemed much better after.

Arrange a vet visit for her, Get her eye checked
