Chewing tail??

Well, Furby chews his fur and now Ralphy's tip of his tail is bald!! and the fur nearby is way shorter. Is this fur chewing? the rest of his coat looks fine...

Dante my fur chewer chewed his fur and chewed his cage mates tail bald, looked like a rat tail and he chewed it like it was corn on the cob, held on to it and chewed.

Especially if they sleep head to tail... reminds me of the story of Hamilton the Pig who ate the wolf's tail in his sleep!
