My 4 chins will fly and being in a carry cage over 36 hours.
I didn't think it would be this long..until I spoke to agents.
Their flight has to be one stop due to temperature issue.
Departure time is earliest one and arrival time is latest one.
Then they need to stay in the airport until next morning to get inspect done.

I know it's very stressful for them but I can't live without them.
My question is a carry cage.
Should I put them in a 4 hole carry cage?
Or can I put them in a 2 hole carry cage? (2 chins each room)

I read that chins will be aggressive when they fly.
I worry if they hurt each other so I should do one chin each room?

At the same time the trip time(being in a carry cage) is very long,
so if I separate them they will feel lonely and anxious.

They are always together even when they sleep.
When I separated them before in a cage(regular cage not a carry cage),
one of them didn't have any food and water...

What do you think??
What would you do?

I would keep them separate for travel. The hole carry cages aren't big enough to fit 2 chins per hole unless they are kits or extremely small. I wouldn't worry about the food and water. Many people travel long distances for show and the chins do fine.

I agree, a four-hole cage is best. You can buy PVC travel water bottles and I would probably just throw some hay cubes in for them for the trip. They should do fine.

I would not put them together, they could harm each other or get tossed around into each other. They will be stressed and worried on the trip and might become resentful of a cage mate thats stuck in that small space with them. They can hear and smell each other from the cages next to them so you shouldn't worry about loneliness too much.

Thank you everyone!
All of you choose a 4 hole one so I'll buy that.
Now I feel relieved.
Thank you:)

I'm glad you asked this question - I've been worried about traveling with my chins, and I'm trying to figure out if I should fly with them or just do the long drive thing.
