Hey all, my chinchilla has had a pretty bad URI and was prescribed baytril after the bactrim didn't help. He has stopped eating the critical care and I'm having to water it down and force feed him. He is now constipated and a little bloated. He's passing a little bit of poop but they're small. I've been giving him baby gas drops and he is on metacam for pain. Vet recommended cat hairball laxative for constipation. Has anyone ever used this? I've been giving him belly massages and letting him exercise when he feels like it. Please help

If it's for a cat, I wouldn't recommend using it for a chin. I would continue to do what you are doing and try to feed him more frequently. Continue the massages and get some medication specifically for bloat. If you look under the health and hygiene section, there is a post specifically for dealing with bloat/blockage that is very helpful.
