Soon it will be cold here and I will be inside more. I like crafts in the fall and winter and have been into making jewelry for a while- with lampwork beads (I have quite a collection) and gemstones. I am into metal clay and stamping as well. Are there any other jewelry peeps out there? What are your favorite websites? What types of jewelry do you like to make?

Here are a couple of my favorite sites (they are all on Facebook too):

Anyway....just thought I'd share. :)

The most I've done is take charms and turn them into earrings. However, I have a friend in MI that makes her own earrings and necklaces. here are the two she made me:

I sometimes make jewelry, and I like going on craftster.org and seeing all of their creative ideas... and of course etsy.com has a lot of creative ideas , too :)

I like to make jewellery as well as Teddy Bears. What I'm making depends on what phase I'm in!
At the moment i'm into Chainmaille, which is basically making things out of jump rings using chain mail patterns and techniques. So you end up with a fancy chain. it's great fun but a little hard on the hands!

Akuna- those are cool necklaces, your friend did an awesome job! :)

I love craftster.org as well and find ideas from online sites, magazines, and all over. I also am inspired by a couple of lampwork artists who are masters at putting together interesting color combos.

I have never tried chainmaille, but it looks really cool. (I would love to see pics of yours, Jaina.) I have instructions for that and "viking knit", so I will be working on both techniques this winter.

I would love to have a studio or at least a craft room in my house. My diningroom table is covered with my jewelry and crafting supplies right now... Working on designing an original chinchilla charm as well. If I can make a few nice ones, an etsy shop may be in order...
