You could throw a towel over her to catch her. It's less traumatic for both of you. As long as you're taking her to a good exotic vet, they'll know how to hold her so that they can do the exam. I have two that loathe being handled, but they're totally different chins once they're out of...

If you don't have a TV or radio in the room already, you could try adding one or both. I'm sure this goes without saying, but also be sure to give him lots of extra attention for the next few weeks. Even if you just sit and read or sing to him, it can help.

I'd wait it out and just keep a really close eye on him. As long as he continues eating, drinking and pooping, he's fine. Mine ate pieces of the old FN plastic shelves, large amounts of PVC from their old tubes, and headphone wires without any ill effects. Freak occurrences are always possible...

You can do a cold switch on the timothy hay. I've done it more times than I can count without issue. I always end up back at Oxbow, but at least I can say I've tried other brands. Finicky furkids. :))

I had to feed CC a few times years ago because two of mine were on Baytril. It was always a challenge, with or without the burrito wrap. You could also try Lifeline or Essentials for Life (as Amethyst said). Some chins do like the taste better than CC. So sorry you have to go through this...

Who the heck needs a 3lb bag??? That'll barely cover a single chin for a month. Ugh!
